ABOUT OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy which is used to treat a wide range of medical conditions. Osteopaths use manipulation techniques to improve flexibility, joint range of motion and decrease levels of pain. Typically, this will be followed by rehabilitation exercises to be performed at home to help you manage your own injury.

Osteopaths look at a variety of factors that may be predisposing symptoms. Commonly called the biopsychosocial approach, this aims to identify lifestyle issues that may be contributing to your injury. We are all unique and will each have different needs based on our occupation and daily habits. This is why a full medical history will be taken at your first appointment to determine any underlying health conditions and the effects this may have on your injury as well as your nutrition and exercise regime.

No one patient is the same and should be treated as such and so adopting this all-encompassing approach helps to provide a framework to get you injury-free in the most efficient way.

Osteopaths tend to use manipulation of the body to help aid recovery. There are a variety of different techniques that osteopaths will use including;
